THE BEST TV SERIES TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2019

Game of thrones

The binge-watching season is officially upon us and with it comes the opportunity to prepare for the new releases in 2019. Get ready to sit down with a bucket of popcorn and watch the weekend away!

1. Game of Thrones – Season 8

Game of Thrones

Synopsis: “Nine noble families fight for control over the mythical lands of Westeros, while an ancient enemy returns after being dormant for thousands of years.”

If you haven’t watched the first seven seasons yet, you should get started now! (And also where on earth have you been!?) Season 8, the final season, will soon be upon us and fans have been waiting since 2017 so we are very eager to see what the last installment has in store for us!

2. Big Little Lies – Season 2

Big Little Lies

Synopsis: “The apparently perfect lives of three mothers of first graders unravel to the point of murder.”

If the all-star cast didn’t pull you in, the story-line really should. Twists and turns throughout the epic plot left me on the edge of my seat during the first season. I was addicted to the lives of the people entangled in this story. Go and catch up on the first season!

3. Stranger Things – Season 3

Stranger Things

Synopsis: “When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief, and his friends must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back.”

You won’t be alone if you need to binge-watch the first two seasons before the third premiers in 2019, I need to catch up too! I have read the storyline and the interviews with the cast have me convinced, Stranger Things is definitely my next big watch!

4. The Crown – Season 3
The Crown

Synopsis: “Follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.”

Victoria and Downton Abbey went down a huge hit, bring on more great storylines from the past!

5. Mindhunter – Season 2

Mind Hunter

Synopsis: “Set in the late 1970s, two FBI agents are tasked with interviewing serial killers to solve open cases.”

If your interests have not yet been peaked by any of the above, how about a good crime show? We all love a good whodunnit! Definitely a show for you if you are more ‘Criminal Minds’ than ‘The Crown’!

6. Liar – Season 2

Liar

Synopsis: “British psychological thriller in which schoolteacher Laura Nielson accuses renowned surgeon Andrew Earlham of rape.”

Another one for us Brits! The first season was brilliant, evoking feelings for both the alleged victim and the accused we spent most of it wondering whether the accusations were true. Season two promises more plot twists than we could shake a stick at, look out for this one folks!
